- Of Polish descent., he was born and raised in Highlands, New Jersey by a single mother where he graduated from Henry Hudson Regional High School in 1992. His mother, a drug addict, died in 2000 from AIDS.

- Arrested in Keansburg, New Jersey. He pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin).
