- She earned a BA in Theatre Arts from UCLA and an MFA in acting from the Yale School of Drama where she was a classmate of John Turturro, Charles S. Dutton and Oscar-nominee Angela Bassett. After Yale she continued her acting education, in New York, with Robert Lewis, one of the founding members of The Group Theater. She beat out Whitney Houston for her role as Sondra on "The Cosby Show.".
- Despite having been cast as her daughter in "The Cosby Show", Sabrina is only 10 years younger than Phylicia Rashad.
- Following The Cosby Show's run, she enrolled in the UCLA Professional Interior Design Progam while continuing to work as an actress on television and in theatre.
- Her final competition for the role of Sondra Huxtable on The Cosby Show (1984) was Whitney Houston. LeBeauf's theater experience won her the role.
