- Graduated from Kent School in 1966, the same high school Peter Farrelly, Sebastian Siegel, Treat Williams and Seth MacFarlane attended.
- Has heard one of his more famous characters, "Dr. John Becker," described by a fan as "the American Medical Association's answer to Basil Fawlty." Danson completely agrees with this sentiment.
- Danson appeared in episodes of the same three different series with both John Mahoney and Kelsey Grammer: Cheers (1982), Frasier (1993) and Becker (1998), although only in Frasier (1993) did Mahoney and Grammer play their signature roles of Martin and Frasier Crane, respectively.
