  20. When he approached veteran western actor Robert Fuller to play the male lead role of Dr. Kelly Brackett in Emergency! (1972), Fuller politely turned down the role. Webb wouldn't take no for an answer and told Fuller to "shut up and sit down!".

  • Date taken: Press release is not dated. Beginning in 1967 and continuing through 1970, the show added a year to its title. The television industry views the "new year" as beginning in the fall when their new programs and the beginning of new episodes start being aired. The press release refers to this as "1969", but this episode really aired 3 October 1968. The practice is similar to that of auto makers who offer their new models for sale before the calendar year has changed.
